The Premier Soccer League has announced winners for the DStv Premiership awards for May, with Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena winning the coach of the month for the third time this season.
Orlando Pirates striker Tshegofatso Mabasa bagged the player of the month award, as Moroka Swallows midfielder Lindokuhle Mtshali claimed the goal of the month prize.

Sundowns played more matches than any other club in May, having to play catch up domestically after getting knocked out of the CAF Champions League by Tunisian giants Esperance.
They played a total of seven league matches this month, recording four victories, drawing twice and losing on the final day of the season to Cape Town City. Had they not lost to the Citizens, Sundowns would have become the first club in PSL history to finish a campaign without a defeat.
Mabasa, meanwhile, finished the season as top scorer in the league, with 16 goals to his name. Five of the goals were scored in May, thanks to back-to-back braces against City and Chippa United. The former Bloemfontein Celtic striker scored his final goal of the season in the 1-1 draw against SuperSport United over the weekend.
