RIP: Former Sundowns Defender Passes Away

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates defender Siyabonga Zulu.

The Siya crew has learned that former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Siyabonga Zulu has sadly passed away.

The details of the defender's passing is still unclear at this stage.

The 31-year-old was still plying his trade in the ABC Motsepe League with Mpumalanga outfit Phezulu FC.

The full-back spent most of his career in the Premiership, having played for the likes of Sundowns, Chippa United, Platinum Stars and Black Leopards.

Zulu also won Absa Premiership title during his time with the Brazilians.

Soccer Laduma sends heartfelt condolences to Zulu's family and friends during this difficult time.
