Mbule’s switch to the Buccaneers raised eyebrows across Mzansi, with many expecting the talented midfielder — often linked with Kaizer Chiefs — to join their Soweto rivals instead.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns star was among eight new signings welcomed to Pirates in a special induction session aimed at helping them settle quickly.
The induction, hosted at Pirates’ facilities, saw legends like Tebogo Moloi, Brighton Mhlongo, Lucky Lekgwathi, Innocent Maela, and Edward Motale share their experiences and insights on what it means to don the famous black and white jersey.
Speaking to Pirates’ official media team, Mbule expressed how the session helped him and the new recruits understand the expectations at the club.
“The sessions from today are very helpful because they are going to make things easier for us,” Mbule said.
“We now know what is happening, and we already saw where we are training, and now we can adjust our minds and get ready for the upcoming challenge.”
