Orlando Pirates appear to be pulling out all the stops to inspire confidence within their ranks – the latest tactic being to stage a trophy parade at training!
During Wednesday's session, which was opened to the media, a group of Pirates players were treated to a prize giving ceremony and handed a trophy for winning what seemed to be an internal league at the club.

Asked to explain the day's activity, interim coach Rulani Mokwena put it down to an attempt to get the players used to that winning feeling.
"The group has just come from a very good win against Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup and lifting trophies is addictive," the coach explained.
"It's a feeling that you get…I don't want to get into the biological elements of endorphins and which hormones are released when you achieve certain success. But because of that sort of feeling you then are addicted and you want more of that. And the same happens for footballers when they win. So we've tried to work on it not by just talking, but also on the pitch and to improve the competitiveness of our training sessions. We want the players to understand that the product is the result of the process, so the lifting of a trophy is the by-product of the process which we are going through at the moment."
Mokwena said the simulation of the a trophy ceremony was then part of the bigger picture for their group dynamic as the club also looks to end a drought of five years.
