Orlando Pirates To Approach Unpredictable Black Leopards With Caution

In their search of two wins in a row in Limpopo, Orlando Pirates will be approaching their match against Black Leopards with caution, knowing how unpredictable and dangerous their opponents can be at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

Having defeated Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 3-0 in the same venue in the midweek fixture, Pirates assistant coach Fadlu Davids says they have to be cautious of the threat of Lidoda Duvha in their quest for points to move up the DStv Premiership log.

"Really good mood in the camp especially after the win but our preparations are more focused on recovery and freshness rather than focusing on the fitness side of things," said Davids, speaking through Pirates' media department.

"They are a team that can play in different sets of formations whether it's three midfielders, whether it's two strikers, whether it's Ramagalela playing on the side, on the right-hand side but becoming a striker in certain situations. So, we really have to be aware of their threat but also capitalise our threat in terms of our attacking structure," he said.

The Buccaneers go into the match sitting in fifth place on the log with four wins from 10 matches, having lost only one match so far in their campaign.

In another match this afternoon, AmaZulu are scheduled to host Maritzburg United in the KwaZulu-Natal derby at Kings Park Stadium.

Both teams last played against Kaizer Chiefs in their previous matches, Usuthu losing 1-0 on Wednesday, while last Saturday's fixture ended 2-0 in favour of the Team of Choice.

In head-to-head stats between the two KZN teams, they have played 22 league matches since the 2006/07 season and Maritzburg have won 11, while AmaZulu have had only two victories, with nine matches ending in draw.
