News coming out of Orlando is that a Soweto giant has all but secured the services of a Bafana Bafana midfielder, with personal terms believed to be agreed and only official confirmation pending.
The national team talent is expected to swap Eastern Cape for Gauteng in what appears to be a significant coup for Orlando Pirates ahead of their pre-season preparations.

As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Pirates are believed to be interested in a Chippa United midfielder who they have been monitoring for some time now. The latest is that the Buccaneers have offered Sinoxolo Kwayiba a four-year contract.
Insiders close to both clubs and the player have indicated that the personal agreement between the player and Pirates is as good as concluded, starting from July 2025 to June 2029.
"From what is happening at the club now, it's believed that it's a four-year contract with a one-year option. Yes, the deal is as good as done and Kwayiba is apparently expected to be with the team when they go to Germany for the pre-season training camp. So, for now, what remains is the official announcement," the insider told the Siya crew.
A second insider stated that there are talks between the two clubs regarding the exchange of players from one team to another.
"It's believed that the deal could involve some Orlando Pirates players moving to Chippa United at the end of the season but the two teams are expected to be working on that as Chippa are yet to identify the players they would like from Pirates," the second source revealed to Soccer Laduma.
Apart from being recently part of Bafana Bafana, the 25-year-old has been consistent for the Chilli Boys where he has featured in the vast majority of league games and scoring goals too.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chippa United and Pirates for comment but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
This potential acquisition represents a significant statement of intent from Pirates as they begin planning for the post-Riveiro era. Kwayiba's goalscoring ability from midfield fills a need in the Pirates squad, with his box-to-box capabilities potentially offering a new dimension to their engine room.
The length of the contract – potentially five years with the option – demonstrates the Buccaneers' long-term faith in the player's abilities and future development. For Chippa United, while losing a key performer is challenging, the potential to receive Pirates players in exchange could help strengthen multiple positions within their squad.
