Orlando Pirates have finally provided an update on defender Thulani Hlatshwayo, following his long absence from the team.
After featuring in nine of Bucs' first 10 league matches of the season, Hlatshwayo has been a noticeable absentee from the team's line-ups under co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.
The former Bafana Bafana captain has made 10 appearances in total in the Buccaneers' DStv Premiership campaign so far this season, and his last appearance was in December against AmaZulu.
While eyebrows have been raised about the whereabouts of the 32-year-old centre-back, Ncikazi has confirmed that the former Bidvest Wits player is back in training with the rest of his teammates after being halted by injury.
"Tyson is training well. He had an injury, he was training well, I think currently he is in competition to be in the team. But one thing I like about him, maybe that shows his experience, his attitude is always great. He trains well, he supports the team even if he is not part of the team and very soon, we will see him in the field of play," said Ncikazi, speaking to the media.
