Both clubs confirmed the move, with Pirates stating: “Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm the departure of Karim Kimvuidi, who joins FC Ashdod on a season-long loan deal with the option to buy at the end of the term.”
Sources close to the Israeli club have suggested that Ashdod may already be impressed with Kimvuidi and could look to turn the loan into a permanent transfer.

“Initially, the club would have loved to sign him outright,” said one source. “But there were certain requirements that couldn’t be met at the time, so the loan was the best option. Over the next few months, the club hopes to meet all the conditions to make a permanent deal possible,” the source added.
While nothing has been finalised, the speculation around Kimvuidi’s future in Israel is growing, especially if he continues to make an impact on the pitch.
