The accident occurred on the R21 highway as the Buccaneers were returning from Gqeberha following their 3–0 victory over Chippa United.
According to a statement released by the club on Tuesday morning, Ouaddou and several staff members stopped to assist after witnessing a collision between two vehicles.
While attending to the scene, a Nissan NP200 crashed into the stationary vehicles, striking the group and leaving six Pirates members injured.
The affected individuals, including the head coach, were rushed to hospital where they are currently receiving medical treatment. Pirates confirmed that they remain in close contact with the medical team and are prioritising the wellbeing of those involved.
The club has requested privacy for Ouaddou, the staff, and their families during this difficult period and pledged continued support until their recovery.
