Chippa United have this week welcomed yet another Orlando Pirates player to their ranks, with Siya sources confirming that winger Meshack Maphangule has arrived in Port Elizabeth ahead of a possible move.
In this week's edition of Soccer Laduma, the crew reported that Chippa had stepped up their chase for the player after he was placed on the transfer list by the Buccaneers on June 21.

A former Black Leopards star man, Maphangule struggled to make an impact at Pirates last season having joined from Lidoda Duvha and the club has since deemed him surplus to requirements.
Siya sources have informed the crew that he has now joined the Chilli Boys for their pre-season camp and there are talks he may join on a permanent basis, meaning Chippa would have to buy him outright.

Maphangule has four more years left on his Pirates contract and he would join a long list of Pirates players who have been moving across to Chippa and vice versa in recent years – Gladwin Shitolo, Tercious Malepe, Thembinkosi Lorch and Paseka Mako, just to name a few, in that category.
He could still also join on loan, though Pirates released a rather vague statement last month about players that would join Chippa for the 2019/20 season and Maphangule was not one of them.
