Lesotho international striker Motebang Sera has emerged as a potential target for Orlando Pirates following Royal AM’s recent expulsion from the PSL.
The Siya crew has been informed that the 30-year-old forward, who is now a free agent, could be offered to the Soweto giants as his representatives explore new opportunities. Sera, a former two-time Lesotho Premier League Golden Boot winner, is believed to be attracting interest from several Betway Premiership clubs.

“The player’s representatives are assessing options,” a source close to the situation revealed. “There are several clubs that have shown interest in his services, and there is a possibility of him being offered to Pirates. His representatives believe that he is at a stage where he should play for a big club and compete among the best players in the league,” added the source.
While no official approach has been made by Pirates, the club is understood to be in the market for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season, especially with questions around their depth and consistency in front of goal.
Sera has been playing in the PSL since 2019, having first arrived for Bloemfontein Celtic from Lesotho’s Matlama FC and has since built a reputation as a hardworking, mobile striker with an eye for goal.
His availability as a free agent could make him an attractive option for clubs seeking a low-risk addition to their attacking arsenal.
Among the other interested parties, Richards Bay are reportedly monitoring the situation closely as they seek to bolster their squad.

“He is a free agent for now, but it looks like it won’t be long before he signs with a new club,” the source added.
With the off-season transfer window approaching, it remains to be seen whether Pirates will make a formal move for the Lesotho marksman, but his camp is expected to engage with top flight clubs in the coming weeks.
