With the league currently in recess due to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire, one of the players who will be aiming to improve when the 2023/24 campaign resumes is Orlando Pirates' Monnapule Saleng.
Saleng has had a first half of the season to forget due to his lack of regular game time and apparent loss of form.

The 25-year-old started just five matches and came on as a substitute in six of those games in Bucs' league campaign and eyebrows have been raised about the turn of events in his promising career compared to how he fared last season.
Last season, Saleng was one of the standout performers for the Buccaneers and it came as no surprise that he won the PSL Players' Player of the Season and MTN8 Last Man Standing awards respectively.
The Bloemhof-born star netted 15 goals and bagged 11 assists across all competitions from 30 matches in the previous campaign.

So far this season, Saleng has contributed to just three goals and the player is said to be concerned about his numbers and is aiming to improve.
"The boy remains focused like he has always been, and he understands that competition for places is stiff at the club. He is working hard to reclaim a place in the starting line-ups and to play as many games as possible when the season resumes. He is a humble boy who listens to coaches and is aiming to earn his place through hard work," said the source.
