'Micho' is now looking to move on from the disappointment of not being able to finish the job, and has told fans of the club that things will be better in 2019/20 when they hope to pick up their first trophy since 2014. Speaking to the media after the 3-0 win over Polokwane City, the Serbian said, "One thing is for sure… Orlando Pirates will be much, much better next season than they've been this season from all the aspects. The coach then went on to rate this campaign from his perspective, saying, "If 10/10 perfection does not exist, I would – looking at this season – say it was about a 7.5. I hope I'm realistic with that, if we had won a cup, if we had got to the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League then maybe it would have been a 9 or 9.5, but without anything for show we're about a 7.5 realistically." Pirates' players will now be given time off to recoup before the season stars again in a few months' time, although they are expected to have a handful of players in Stuart Baxter's Bafana Bafana side for the African Cup of Nations.
