Last week Saturday Orlando Pirates came from behind to beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 in the Soweto Derby and Pirates legend Edward Motale believes that the win is biggest motivation the team needed at this stage of the season.
Speaking to the Siya crew in a one on one interview, Magents said that now there is one mission for the team and that is to end the season in second position and qualify for CAF Champions League football for next season.
"Every win is very important but winning the Soweto Derby is the biggest motivation for any player team that wins on the day. And on Saturday it was Pirates. It's a plus to the team. It's minus one hurdle now for the fight for position two and a place in the CAF Champions League," Magents said to the Siya crew.

"The only thing the players should do now is to show the same hunger and determination in the remaining games. I know SuperSport United, Stellenbosch FC and Cape Town City are fighting for that second spot as well but I don't think they can overtake us at this point. We just have to be consistent and win as many games as we can from now until the end of the season," he said.
Obvious after winning against Chiefs the spirit and morale in the team is very high and we have to maintain that," Motale said.

Motale added that people mainly supporters should stop questioning the coach and technical team on which player plays or not because they are not there at training.
"Yes, it was a surprise line-up at the derby but it's the coaches who are with with the players everyday at training and they know who was giving his best and raised the hand to play. We don't know what happens and training and what we should do is to support those who are on the field at that particular time because they are representing the club. So now after that win, they should know that there is no time to relax and wish them the best in the remaining games," the 1995 CAF Champions League-winning captain concluded.
Pirates have secured a place in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals with an emphatic 4-0 win over Hungry Lions.
