Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi is understood to have attracted European interest, the Siya crew can reveal.

Sources indicated that an unnamed Belgian club look set to make contact with the Bucs, regarding a potential move for the player.
"I think it's not the first time they have shown interest as they have been following his progress since last season when he was at SuperSport United, but they were not sure because he had just come back from Europe as well. But since he joined Pirates, this club is Belgium had been talking to his representatives who sent him to Portugal before and now it's looking promising," a source informed the Siya crew.
"I know there are other teams in other countries looking at him, and the Belgium team representative was (present) at the FNB Stadium during the Soweto Derby and they are happy with what they saw."

Meanwhile, indications are that his previous experience in Europe will come in handy this time around.
"I think the team in Belgium that is interested in him have also looked at his experience in Europe and looking at his age he is only 25 years old and spent about two to three years in Portugal. They feel that will help him settle well if he moves to Belgium. I can't say the club in Belgium at the moment because it would jeopardize everything and that wouldn't be good," the source added.
Before joining SuperSport United, the Tembisa-born midfielder spent time in Portugal with UD Oliveirense and Academica QAF Under 23 side.
The Siya crew made an attempts to contact Pirates for comment, but no response was received at the time of publishing
