It was a match that provided entertainment from the first whistle, but it was Pirates who had the resolve to reign supreme in the end.
For Josef Zinnbauer, his side's goals came courtesy of Deon Hotto and Thembinkosi Lorch, while it was Siphelele Luthuli who struck for Celtic.
After the final whistle, there were raucous celebrations by the Buccaneers, who were undeterred by the rain that was pouring down in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Club captain Happy Jele was set to lift the trophy for the Buccaneers but the club dedicated the success to him in his absence due to sickness, which was confirmed by Zinnbauer.
