Ernst Middendorp's Amakhosi made it past The Magic FC to book their spot in the last eight earlier this month, and with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates already out they will feel they have a good chance of going all the way an ending their lengthy trophy drought.
There were plenty of other top-flight clubs in the hat for tonight's draw though, five in total - as well as two National First Division sides, TS Galaxy and Cape Umoya United, looking to do the impossible and go all the way to the title.
Now it has been revealed that Chiefs will face Cape Town City in arguably the biggest game of the round, while fellow former winners, Bidvest Wits, have been pitted against Chippa United.
The full draw is as follows:
Bloemfontein Celtic v Golden Arrows
Bidvest Wits v Chippa United
Kaizer Chiefs v Cape Town City
Cape Umoya United v TS Galaxy
Dates, venues and times for the quarter-finals will be confirmed at a later date.
