Nedbank Cup Report: SuperSport United 3-3 University of Pretoria 5 April 2016
Nedbank Cup   Result: SuperSport United 3-3 (4-2 pen) AmaTuks   Date: 5 April 2016   Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium   SuperSport United came back from two goals down to beat University of Pretoria 4-2 on penalties in the Nedbank Cup last-16 on Tuesday.   Dove Wome got the first real chance of the clash in the eighth minute after Thato Mokeke played the ball to him, but he sent his shot just wide.   The deadlock was broken four minutes later as Thabo Nemukondeni scored AmaTuks' first ever competitive goal against SuperSport United.   However, Matsatsantsa were back level in the 26th minute as Morton found the back of the net after interplay between Mokeke, Bradley Grobler and Jeremy Brockie.   United had a great chance to take the lead three minutes later when Brockie got the ball inside the area, but his effort went wide.   AmaTuks' lead was restored early in the second half. Bacela provided the assist and Ian Chikohwa was on hand to direct the ball home for a 2-1 lead.   The Pretoria side's advantage grew when Kekana sent the ball into his own goal from Chikohwa's cross, but the celebrations were short-lived as Brockie's brilliant header pulled one back after a cross from Luvolwethu Mpeta found him.   Tuks looked set to progress, but in the 84th minute Morne Nel equalised to force the game into extra-time. He had another chance from close range to net the winner for United in the 106th minute, but Arubi pulled off a superb stop.   Ronwen Williams was the hero of the penalty shootout as he saved two of the AmaTuks spot-kicks to see United through to a 4-2 victory.   Here's how they lined up:    SuperSport: Williams, Kekana, Daniels, Booysen, Mpeta, Morton, Furman, Wome, Mokeke, Grobler, Brockie   AmaTuks: Arubi, Ngubane,Mthethwa,Sibande, Jaure, Nyathi,Chikohwa, Maruping, Nemukondeni, Bacela, Nkoana.
