Mhlongo: We Never Stopped Believing
Orlando Pirates' man-of-the-match Brighton Mhlongo revealed his team-mates never stopped believing they would beat Mamelodi Sundowns. Ten-Man Pirates Clinch Semi-Final Berth The Buccaneers clinched a 2-0 win over 'Downs on Saturday to earn a spot in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals despite going down to 10 men with Edwin Gyimah's sending off in the 71st minute. Sundowns had more chances throughout the game, but Pirates scored twice in extra-time to edge out their hosts. Mhlongo said, "We kept on believing. Even when we were a man down we said we are not going to lose this game. "This game I dedicate to my wife. She knows why. I love her so much. "I am very happy for the guys, for the collective effort we put in. I'm just happy. I don't know what to say. "We just told ourselves we would take it one game at a time. Gradually we will go to that level where we want to be."
