Gustavo Paez netted a brace as Chiefs came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over the ABC Motsepe League outfit, but Komphela felt his side lacked maturity and patience.
"We made our lives difficult. We all know it is a nightmare for any full-back to defend a diagonal ball, but the pace of Sidumo going and anticipating the crosses, he left the full-back for dead," Komphela said after the game.
"We lacked the patience and maturity to deal with the match of this calibre. Matches like this, you can't run with the ball, because the excitement of the opponent is I want to mark this one who plays for Chiefs.
"Paez, happy for him but I thought as well, we had to think what do we do know, we have to manipulate the match because the team on the field is trying their utmost best, but the result is not coming and time is running out.
"Compromise a few players, make unpopular decisions but you are trying to get a victory. I must compliment the players for understanding what we are going through."
