Kaizer Chiefs won 3-0 in the end, but it was far from an easy game as they were made to work hard by the Magic FC in the Nedbank Cup.

The ABC Motsepe League side are 28 places below the Amakhosi – and two divisions – but managed to hold the Glamour Boys for 105 minutes before being undone by a Daniel Cardoso penalty.

Chiefs missed numerous chances during 90 minutes, especially in the second half, and Ernst Middendorp has criticised his side for not taking chances when they should have done given the amount they created.
The floodgates did open once Cardoso converted – his second goal in two games – as Philani Zulu and Khama Billiat made it 3-0, but Chiefs will be worried by the fact that they have twice needed extra-time to see off clubs from the ABC Motsepe League.
