Kabelo Mahlasela Won't Be Making His Kaizer Chiefs Debut Anytime Soon

Kabelo Mahlasela's wait for his Kaizer Chiefs debut will go on for at least two more months, with the attacker currently undergoing rehabilitation following his knee injury. Read: Hunt Won't Drop Pule Over Chiefs Move The 26-year-old joined the Amakhosi last month after months of speculation regarding his future but was dealt a hammer blow a few days afterwards when he was ruled out for around three months after sustaining a knee problem in training. Now, with the player doing his best to get back before the end of the season, it has been confirmed that he will only start training on the pitch again around April time. Speaking to the club's official website, their first team physiotherapist, Dave Milner, said, "Mahlasela has started with rehab in the gym. He is doing cardio and leg strengthening. He is still using crutches and a brace. We are looking at eight weeks to go before he resumes training on the pitch." While it may be a while before Mahlasela finally gets to don the black and gold of the Glamour Boys, it does appear that it will be at some point later in their current campaign.
