It's A Big Nedbank Cup Weekend

It's a big Nedbank Cup weekend, with Kaizer Chiefs arguably the side that will be most desperate for a win as they look to get their club back on track.

TS Galaxy – the only side not from the Absa Premiership remaining – became the first club to book their spot in the semifinals of the tournament as they saw off Cape Umoya in the week's earlier fixture, while they will find out two potential opponents by the end of this evening.   Read: Spotted – A New Signing For Absa Premiership Title Race?   Bloemfontein Celtic host Golden Arrows in the early kick off at 15h00 this afternoon, followed by Bidvest Wits v Chippa United at 20h15, with the Glamour Boys taking on Cape Town City in the biggest game of the weekend on Saturday.   The Nedbank Cup is one of the longest-running competitions in South Africa at present, and is commonly regarded as the most sought after of all the domestic trophies other than the Absa Premiership.   Check: Who's Going To The AFCON? Find Out Here!   A total of eight players are currently tied for the golden boot on two goals each, though that could all change very quickly depending on the goalscorers that put their hands up over the next couple of days.   Meanwhile, with five of the remaining seven teams having not yet won the cup in it's current form, we could well have a new name on the trophy come the end of the season.
