The Magic FC Technical Director George Dearnaley was full of praise for the side, although he claims some of his players were affected by pressure against 'the biggest team in the country'.

Magic's Nedbank Cup journey came to an end after losing 3-0 to Kaizer Chiefs after extra-time on Sunday afternoon.
Dearnaley was proud of his charges' display after taking the Absa Premiership side all the way to extra-time.
Dearnaley believes the 3-0 scoreline against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup last 16 was a bit harsh on his players. Dearnaley insisted that he was proud of his boys who held their own against Amakhosi in regulation time but succumbed to late pressure in extra time after conceding three goals in the last 15 minutes. "I'm so proud, it's unbelievable, to hold Kaizer Chiefs until 105 minutes. Just tired legs in the end, I don't think the scoreline does justice to us. But I think Chiefs were worthy winners, fantastic team, I wish them the best in the future," Dearnaley told SuperSport TV. "We worked hard, we had a balance of some young guys and experience they deserved this opportunity. 3-0 maybe isn't a true reflection of the game but at the end to score three goals in extra time against an amateur team I think we'll get a lot of credit from this. Hopefully this is not the end for us, it is just a start," he continued. "People must understand that we play our home games in front of a 100 people. We play on municipal fields. To play on a World Cup Stadium against the biggest team in the country, of course there is pressure. Some players it affected them but I thought overall they were amazing. They were magic!"
