Black Leopards face losing their home ground venue – if the Thohoyandou Stadium is again unplayable tonight.
The Premier Soccer League raised serious concerns over the club's decision to elect the ground for their Nedbank Cup replay against Bidvest Wits after the Round of 16 tie was abandoned following a heavy storm last Wednesday.
Leopards were leading 1-0 before the match was called off, and according to the rules, it will have to start from scratch with both sides goalless.
But the league suggested a different stadium as the PSL organising committee was not only worried about the weather forecast, but the ANC rally in Venda over the weekend was also an issue.

Leopards declined using the Giyani Stadium and guaranteed they would cover the pitch during the political rally to avoid it being damaged. The stage at the weekend was not erected on the pitch and there were cover plates to protect the grass, with no vehicles permitted to drive over it.
The PSL, the Siya crew understands, has asked for pictures that this was all done as proof – the league doesn't want any embarrassment.
Should the match be called off again, Leopards would lose the Thohoyandou Stadium as their home ground. Kick-off tonight is at 6 pm.
