FC Barcelona Transfer News: Six In, Six Out?

FC Barcelona Transfer News: Six In, Six Out?

With the next transfer window fast approaching and FC Barcelona having been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League, six stars are being heavily linked with a move to the Spanish giants, while there are six players who could be on the chopping block.

Click through the gallery above to see six players who could join Barca, and six stars who could soon leave the club, according to various reports.

It was shaping up to be a terrific season for the Blaugrana until this week, when they were knocked out of the Champions League at the hands of a hungrier Liverpool.

Ernesto Valverde's job has been called into question as a result, as has the futures of several of the club's first-team players, but who could the Catalan giants look to bring in?

Antoine Griezmann's name has once again been thrown around, although the Atletico Madrid man will not come cheaply. The Frenchman was close to joining Barca at the beginning of the season, but rejected the chance to move due to his loyalty to Los Rojiblancos.

Casillas on Zidane

Having already confirmed the signing of Frenkie de Jong, next to join the Catalans from Ajax Amsterdam could be 19-year-old captain Matthijs de Ligt, whom the Dutch club has seemingly accepted they will lose. The centre-back is undoubtedly one for the future, but given the experience he already has at club and international level, he will be able to make an instant impact.

Manchester United's Marcus Rashford is also believed to be on Barca's shortlist, according to the Daily Mirror.

On the other front, goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen could very well be the first player to leave as he has already stated it is his wish to play more first-team football. The Dutchman has been excellent for the LaLiga champions every time he has stepped in, and might feel he deserves regular action.

Philippe Coutinho is another star player who could be on the exit list following his poor form for the much of the season. The Brazilian has struggled to hit his stride all through the 2018/19 campaign, and the fans have let him know it.
