MTN8 Legend Brent Carelse Lauds Orlando Pirates And Bloemfontein Celtic

Bloemfontein Celtic v Orlando Pirates

MTN8 legend Brent Carelse has lauded Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic for their form and progress this season.

Pirates and Celtic will meet in this year's MTN8 final after enjoying impressive form in the competition, this after the Buccaneers beat Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs, while Siwelele defeated Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United respectively.

"I think the two teams that are in the final of the MTN8 deserve to be there, Pirates over the two legs against their arch-rivals showed everybody that they dominated them, they played much better than them and they scored a lot of goals. They deserved to be there," said Cerelse, speaking to the Siya crew.

"On the other hand, Bloemfontein Celtic since before the lockdown everything has changed and gone their way. They were struggling financially, unable to pay the players and the coach. Steve Komphela left but the players and the team just carried on from there and they made the MTN8 final.

"And they were in the last final in our domestic league (Nedbank Cup), I think they deserve to be there," the ex-Downs man added.
