Paulse was a constant threat in attack and scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the second half after he was fouled by Erick Mathoho inside the box.
The 33-year-old forward was awarded the 'man of the match' for his efforts, but was quick to give credit to De Sa who had been ridiculed before the final.
"First of all I want to thank God. We have a prayer meeting in the group and we always say that we pray for an audience of one, and that is God. I want to thank him first of all," said Paulse.
"This goes to my teammates and the coach. I know that he (Roger de Sa) has been ragged because he has reached five cup finals and he has never won. He is an amazing coach. He blends us, the experienced and the youth well."
Paulse also commended his teammates for their effort on the day that has seen the club lift some silverware.
"I am a passionate player, I'm in this game to win," added the striker.
"I always tell the youngsters that if you aren't in this game to win then you shouldn't be playing.
"I'm just happy that I can still give my all out there and help the team wherever I can.
"It's been a tough three-four years for the club. I think the club is on an upward curve.
"We have hungry players, we have ambition.
"You must take it one step at a time and I think this is only one step.
"Half of these boys are going to become top players, so it's important for us as a team to stay humble, but I think for the next few hours we are going to forget about being humble to be champions."
