Benni McCarthy's side will host Polokwane City in the prestigious competition at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Patosi, 24, who started his professional career in Belgium with KSC Lokeren six years ago, says he is motivated to help his new team start the season well.

The Bafana Bafana midfielder was signed by the Mother City outfit in June, after he parted ways with Lokeren.

"I don't think there will be much pressure on me or that people will be expecting me to perform miracles just because I come from Belgium. The one thing that I have in mind is to make sure that Cape Town City is winning the game tomorrow. On and off the field, I have to be there for the team. The guys at Cape Town City have welcomed me very well and now I feel at home," said the Khayelitsha-born player.

'Pato' is relishing the prospect of playing club football in front of his family, with them previously having seen him only in Bafana colours.

"My family is here in Cape Town and everybody will be coming to watch me play. I'm looking forward to the game. It's going to be an interesting game. I just have to do well and don't stress much, as long as the team wins," said Patosi.
