Promotion: Leopards Edge Close To Play-Offs

Durban City 3-0 Pretoria Callies

Durban City resumed Motsepe Foundation Championship action on Friday by defeating Pretoria Callies 3-0.

Samkelo Maseko and Joslin Kamatuka were among the goals as the Durban outfit got back to winning ways in the Championship.

City will end the weekend three points clear at the top of the Championship standings.

Saturday, 26 April

Casric Stars 0-0 Cape Town Spurs

Casric Stars missed the chance to move into the top three after a goalless draw against Cape Town Spurs.

The point sees Stars end the weekend in fourth spot, while Spurs are only two points above the drop zone.

Baroka FC 3-1 Highbury FC

Baroka FC got back to winning ways in the Championship with a 3-1 victory over Highbury FC.

A brace from Dan Ndlovu and a solitary strike from David Mothipe guided the Limpopo outfit to victory on home soil.

Lulama Maqoko netted the only goal for Highbury.

Hungry Lions 0-0 JDR Stars

Hungry Lions and JDR Stars could not be separated after playing to a goalless draw on Saturday afternoon.

Leruma United 1-1 University of Pretoria

Leruma United were unable to move out of the relegation zone after a 1-1 draw against University of Pretoria.

The point sees Leruma remain at the bottom of the table, two points adrift of safety with three games left of the campaign.

Venda Football Club 1-1 Upington City

Milford FC 0-1 Black Leopards

Black Leopards remain in the hunt for promotion after defeating Milford 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Bethuel Muzeu scored the only goal of the game in the first half to steer the visitors to victory.

The win sees Leopards sit in third spot, three points ahead of fourth-placed Casric Stars.

Orbit College 3-0 Kruger United

Orbit College kept their automatic promotion hopes alive with a 3-0 win over Kruger United.

Siyabulela Mabele contributed with a brace while Lethabo Modimoeng also got his name on the score-sheet.

As a result, Orbit now sit in second spot, three points behind league leaders Durban City, who have game in hand.
