While Sekhukhune United could only manage a goalless home draw with Uthongathi FC, Richards Bay FC and Royal AM both illustrated further intent of automatic promotion from the GladAfrica Championsip by overpowering University of Pretoria and Steenberg United respectively. Although Stars did level matters, Sporting netted a fourth for a 40th point and third place. Polokwane City moved a bit closer to safety following a narrow 1-0 victory over Cape Town Spurs with Khuda Myaba getting that all-important goal as the Urban Warriors continue to look over their shoulders.
