Former Orlando Pirates Youth Coach Surfaces At New Club

A former Orlando Pirates youth coach has been unveiled at a new club, after he parted ways with the Soweto giants.

Following his time with Maritzburg United, where he served as an assistant to his brother Fadlu Davids, Maahier Davids made a move to the Buccaneers along with his older brother when he joined the club in January this year.

While the older brother was hired as an assistant in the first team at Bucs, the younger one served in the youth ranks at the club.

It has now been confirmed by GladAfrica Championship outfit Cape Umoya United that Maahier has been hired as the club's head coach.

It was recently reported by the Siya crew that Dominic Isaacs, who had been in charge of Umoya since November last year, was on his way out of the club following some disappointing results by the Mother City outfit this season.

"We would like to welcome Maahier Davids to the Umoya Family. Maahier takes over as Head Coach of our 1st Team. We wish him all the best!," Umoya confirmed the new coach's appointment on Twitter.
