Telkom Knockout
Teams: Bidvest Wits v Kaizer Chiefs
Date: 18 November 2017
Venue: Bidvest Stadium
Gavin Hunt's Bidvest Wits welcome Steve Komphela's Kaizer Chiefs to the Bidvest Stadium in a crucial Telkom Knockout semi-final clash on Saturday afternoon.
Wits have had an awful start to their league title defence as they languish second from bottom and are struggling to put together consecutive wins.
They have had better luck in tournament matches, though as they made it to their second semi-final for the season after claiming a 1-0 victory over Baroka to set up this Telkom Knockout clash with Gauteng rivals Chiefs.
Komphela's men have found some form coming into this clash as their new formation, has seen the likes of Joseph Molongoane and George Maluleka really step up and put together top quality performances for their side.
Chiefs' narrow 1-0 victory against Chippa United in the previous round, has shown the Soweto giants' ability to grind out results when it matters and that fighting spirit they have shown will be tested when they take on an experienced Wits outfit.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h30
Here's how they line up:
Wits: 1. Keet, 7. Klate, 8. Monare, 10. Gamal, 13.Hlanti, 15. Mkhwanazi, 19. Mlambo, 24. Tlhone, 28. Keene, 33. Frosler, 41. Ntshangase.
