DStv Premiership Starting XI: Kaizer Chiefs v Royal AM 18 September 2021

Kaizer Chiefs will be gunning for their second win of the DStv Premiership season when they host Royal AM on Saturday evening at FNB Stadium.

Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Royal AM

Date: 18 September 2021

Venue: FNB Stadium

Time: 17h00

Chiefs have had a mixed bag of results from their first three matches, after drawing the first against TS Galaxy, before beating Baroka while lost for the first time against rivals Mamelodi Sundowns last Sunday.

Amakhosi are already three points behind leaders Sundowns in 10th place, and can't afford to let the Brazilians open a huge gap at this early stage of the season.

After back-to-back defeats, newly-formed Royal AM finally got their first points of the season after a narrow 1-0 win over Chippa United.

Thwihli Thwahla will be looking for momentum, as they currently sit in 12th place on the log, with three points, just a point behind Chiefs.

The sides will be meeting for the first time, although the bulk of the players are former Bloemfontein Celtic players, including the technical team and the latter team gave Chiefs a hard time last season, with both league matches ending in score draws, first 1-1 at this evening's venue and 2-2 in the reverse in Bloemfontein.

Chiefs: 1. Petersen, 23, Hlanti, 3. Mathoho, 4. Cardoso, 27. Njabulo Ngcobo, 45. Blom, 17. Alexander, 24. Nange, 10. Dolly, 11. Billiat, 9. Nurkovic.
