DStv Premiership
Teams: Maritzburg United v Kaizer Chiefs
Date: 10 March 2021
Venue: Harry Gwala Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will be switching their focus back to the DStv Premiership when they visit Maritzburg United on Wednesday evening.
The match is set to get underway at 18h00.
Chiefs have played three consecutive games in the CAF Champions League for the past two weeks and will return to domestic action for the first time since being held to a 1-1 draw by SuperSport United.
The draw against Matsatsantsa extended Amakhosi's winless run in the league to five matches, leaving the side four points adrift of a top eight spot.
On the other hand, the Team of Choice halted their four-game losing run with a 1-0 win against relegation rivals Black Leopards and followed that up with a 1-1 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.
As a result, Ernst Middendorp's charges moved off the foot of the table to second-from-bottom place with 13 points, three points from safety.
Chiefs will be looking for revenge against United after losing the first round clash 2-0 in January this year at FNB Stadium.
