Wounded SuperSport United and Stellenbosch FC switch their focus back to the Absa Premiership looking to bounce back after cup exits on Friday evening.
Matsatsantsa were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup in the first round last weekend after narrowly losing 1-0 to neighbors Mamelodi Sundowns, while Stellenbosch fell to Maritzburg United on penalties.
In the league thoug, SuperSport's title hopes were dented after another narrow 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows a week before the Nedbank Cup action.
As a result, United dropped to fourth on the table but they could leapfrog Orlando Pirates into second place with victory in Cape Town this evening.
Steve Barker's troops saw their three-game winning run in the league come to an end after going down 2-1 to Black Leopards before the Nedbank Cup loss.
As a consequence, the Western Cape side find themselves in 11th spot on the table and could grab a top-eight spot if they collect maximum points against Matsatsantsa.
The reverse fixture in Tshwane between the sides ended 1-1, with Waseem Isaacs netting for Stellies and Kudakwashe Mahachi for SuperSport.
