Absa Premiership Starting XI: Highlands Park v Mamelodi Sundowns 14 August 2020

Teams: Highlands Park v Mamelodi Sundowns

Date: 14 August 2020

Venue: Dobsonville Stadium

Mamelodi Sundowns will have another chance to put pressure on leaders Kaizer Chiefs when they come up against Highlands Park in the Absa Premiership on Friday evening.

The Brazilians will be playing their third game in six days since the return of football in South Africa after winning a Nedbank Cup semi-final against Bidvest last Saturday before they were held to a goalless draw by Orlando Pirates on Tuesday.

Pitso Mosimane's charges failed to close the gap behind leaders Chiefs after being held by Pirates but they will have another chance to go within a point of Amakhosi, who drew 1-1 with Wits a day later.

The Tshwane giants will be boosted by the return of key midfielder Gaston Sirino who missed their first two matches of the restart through suspension.

On the other hand, the Lions of the North will be playing their first game since the return of PSL football and will have a chance to redeem themselves after losing 1-0 to Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals a few months back.

Owen Da Gama's army are placed eighth on the log and are looking for a return to winning ways in the league after a 2-0 loss to SuperSport United in March.

Sundowns will be looking to complete a league double over Highlands after winning the first-round clash 1-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Here's how they line up:

Highlands: 16. Kapini, 10. Mokoena, 21. Mbhele, 5. Fransman, 20. Ramoraka, 2. Mzava, 4. Makhuala, 14. Mvala, 38. Shalulile, 43. Mbatha, 18.Nyatama.
