Marumo Gallants have appointed a new head coach ahead of the 2025/26 season, with 28-year-old Alexandre Lafitte taking over the reigns.
Lafitte will become the youngest coach in the PSL this season after being unveiled by Gallants, taking over from Abdeslam Ouaddou who has since joined Orlando Pirates.

Abdeslam Ouaddou guided Gallants to a tenth-place finish and the Nedbank Cup semi-finals this past season.

Marumo Gallants F.C. confirms the appointment of Lafitte Alexandre as the club’s new Head Coach.
The 28-year-old French coach brings a strong track record in leading teams in both France and Côte d’Ivoire. Alexandre most recently managed Stade d’Abidjan, where he guided the team to the Ivorian League title.
His appointment follows the departure of Abdeslam Ouaddou, who parted ways with the club at the end of the recent season.

The club have confirmed that the French coach will join up with the team in a couple weeks.
“Coach Alexandre has a clear understanding of the direction we are taking as a club,” said club president Abram Sello.
“He joins ahead of pre-season, which is critical for continuity and alignment with our objectives.”
