Rulani Mokwena has got the backing of his PSL colleague as the league is set to reward the deserving individuals for their efforts in the 2023/24 season.
With the PSL having confirmed that the end of the season awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 23, the Mamelodi Sundowns coach has again got the backing of another colleague in the league.

Mokwena led the Brazilians to a convincing DStv Premiership triumph, with a 23-point gap between them and second-placed Orlando Pirates at the end of the fixtures.
Speaking exclusively to the Siya crew, Cape Town Spurs coach Ernst Middendorp confirmed that Mokwena is his choice for the Coach of the Season award, while he also praised Stellenbosch FC's Steve Barker and Sead Ramovic from TS Galaxy.
"I'm 100% behind Rulani Mokwena. I am saying this because I believe that Orlando Pirates in terms of quantity and in terms of individual quality has the same level as Mamelodi Sundowns. If you have a front that can afford to have (Tshegofatso) Mabasa sitting on the bench with (Evidence) Makgopa playing, while (Zakhele) Lepasa is not even involved in anything, but if in the end you are 23 points behind Sundowns with all the resources and money spent, sorry," said Middendorp.

"For me, it's 100% Rulani Mokwena and nobody else. With all due respect, fantastic job from Steve Barker and Sead Ramovic and the others who have done a good job. There are a few others who have done a good job, and you can name them, they are four, five or six, but Rulani for me is a deserving candidate," the coach added.
