Langerman Starts Next Step In His Career

Mamelodi Sundowns legend Tebogo Langerman has officially started taking steps to prepare for the next chapter of his football career.

Langerman has not officially retired from the game after leaving Swallows FC before the end of last season, but he has already started preparing for another chapter after having been without a club. A consistent performer on the pitch, the player has started doing his coaching badges.

Over the weekend, the 36-year-old started his D license with Tshwane SAFA, making sure he is well equipped by the time he officially begins his coaching his career.

The former left back has been without a club since leaving Swallows before the end of last season, but this was not from a lack of trying. Earlier in the season,  even spoke about being open to play his football outside the country to continue doing what he loves doing.

With no clubs coming his way, Langerman has taken responsibility in ensuring that his name is not lost to the game in future. He has started working on his coaching badges and only time will tell how far he goes in a profession that can be difficult and is often referred to as thankless.

The former Downs veteran joins the likes of Daine Klate, Mark Mayambela, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Morgan Gould to take the next step in football. These are players who retired over the last few years and are looking to become the new generation of coaches.
