Mamelodi Sundowns have welcomed two Nigerian strikers for assessment, the Siya crew can reveal.

The Chloorkop outfit aims to leave no stone unturned in preparing for the future.

The two young players, as confirmed by sources close to the Brazilians, are Daniel Dioh and Jesse Francis, from an academy in Nigeria.

Both players are on the radar of the junior national teams in Nigeria and are said to have also attracted interest from Europe.

"There are two Nigerian players who are currently training with Sundowns. They have come here for assessment, and they are both strikers and are very good players. There is interest in these players from clubs in Europe, but we have managed to convince them to come here so that they can be assessed under the first team coaches, and a decision on them will be made soon," a source close to Sundowns confirmed to the Siya crew.

"Daniel is 17 and Jesse is 18. We are talking here about big and strong boys. How we have managed to convince these boys to come here is surprising, because the team is competing with European clubs for the players' services from what we have been told. We are talking about players with speed, and they score goals. Sundowns is a club that doesn't want to relax, and the way things are done here is based on building for the future," concluded the source.

Sundowns have already acquired the services of Bradley Ralani, with official announcements on Bolivian Erwin Saavedra and Bafana Bafana attacker Teboho Mokoena, expected in the coming days.
