Ghanaian midfielder Asiedu Attobrah has explained how he struggled against Teko Modise in fighting for a place in the Mamelodi Sundowns midfield as he attempted to get a deal in Chloorkop.
Attobrah went to the Brazilians in 2017 in search of a deal, following a stint in Belgium with K.V Kortrijk, and he was only 22 years old at the time.
Back home in Ghana, Attobrah played for Ashanti Gold SC and had a stint with Iraqi side Al-Shorta, before becoming a free agent last year.
"I cannot say I am a better player when I see another good player and start to say that he is not a good player. That's not like me, I don't do that," he said.
"At that time, (Teko) Modise was a big name in South Africa and they couldn't bench Modise for me to play, because I was also playing in the same position and same role as Modise," said Attobrah, speaking to the Siya crew about his time training in Chloorkop.
The PSL is still one of the options for the 25-year-old as he will be looking to join a new club when football resumes after the Coronavirus pandemic disruptions.
