The insiders close to both the player and Sundowns have added that AS Monaco, who compete in France's top-tier Ligue 1, are understood to have inquired about Mudau with the serious intention of bringing him aboard.
"There have been more enquiries, mainly after the Club World Cup but the main one is from French Ligue 1 club Monaco. They have shown interest in him and it is now all up to the two clubs whether they will agree on the move or not," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, a second insider stated that the Brazilians remain determined to retain his services.

"The talks have never stopped. All the involved parties have been talking and Sundowns have made it clear that they want to keep Mudau at the club. And with this interest from Monaco in France they are believed to be working on his new contract as soon as they can to secure his future," the second insider revealed.
The South Africa right-back has established himself as a crucial figure for both club and country, consistently delivering standout performances.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment but the club had not responded before this report was published.
