Almost a month has passed since Maart's wonder strike and somehow it is still being talked about.

Kekana specialized in those type of goals, and even earned a nomination from FIFA for the Puskas award for his wonder strike for Bafana Bafana against Cameroon in 2016.

Naturally, Maart's strike would lead to comparisons with the Zebediele-born star, however, Kekana says it would be unfair to compare the two.

"If we start comparing, it would be unfair of me taking the shine off the youngster who applied himself in a very big space and a big match. To be able to have guts to do that, not many players can do that," Kekana told journalists at a Carling Black Label event last week.

"You and I can go on a field without pressure, and you won't even hit the crossbar. With that pressure, you need to have guts to do that. I salute him for that, not many players have that, and I can't talk about myself, I've retired a long time ago," he added.

Kekana earned his second Puskas nomination for his long-range strike against Cape Town City in 2020.
