Downs and Mido in crunch talks?

Downs and Mido in crunch talks?

Mamelodi Sundowns look set to meet with George Maluleka about his future, the Siya crew can reveal.

Maluleka, who was released by Kaizer Chiefs in 2020 after not agreeing to a new deal and signing pre-contract with the Chloorkop-based side during a crucial time where both teams were neck and neck in the race for the league title.

Since joining the league champions, Mido has struggled for game-time for over a year, and the Siya crew has gathered that Maluleka could likely be set for a loan move.

According to insiders, there are four teams monitoring the player's situation, including Maritzburg United among the interested parties, where the 32-year-old could reunite with former coach Ernst Middendorp.

Siya sources have indicated that Cape Town City and Stellenbosch are also believed to be hovering, with the Western Cape a possible destination for the midfielder.

Insiders have further revealed that SuperSport United have also thrown its name into the hat for the veteran, with a decision about his future set to be made in the coming weeks.
