Will Al Ahly President Mahmoud El Khatib bank on his healthy relationship with Mamelodi Sundowns to land his sought-after target Gaston Sirino?
The Red Eagles pursuit of the Uruguayan sensation is one that has been well documented by the Siya crew in recent months.
The reigning CAF Champions League winners missed out on the 29-year-old in the recent transfer window with Sundowns playing hard ball, with it likely that the club will be back for the player in the near future.
And Al Ahly could well be banking on their healthy relationship with the Brazilians if they are to land their man.
President 'Bibo' has in recent times revealed how his club followed all the right protocols to lure Pitso Mosimane up north, ensuring that 'Jingles' first had the blessing of Sundowns President Patrice Motsepe and that the two clubs' relationship remained intact, before making the move.
"We informed him (Mosimane) that he must have an approval from Sundowns President to complete the deal as we followed the legal channels to keep our strong relationship with Mamelodi Sundowns," EL Khatib told Al Ahly's official website.
"Mosimane sent us a written approval and signed his contract. We waited until Sundowns announced their approval on Mosimane's departure then we signed the contract.
"I have a great relationship with Sundowns' President, who is a well-respected personality, and we met on many occasions at CAF meetings. I wanted to make sure about his approval as we always seek to keep our strong relationship with other clubs," he added.
It is this very relationship and a staggering amount of money, that could well see Sirino move to Egypt in the near future.
The player told the crew that he is keen to reunite with the man who brought him to the PSL from Bolivia three seasons ago, but it remains to be seen if Sundowns are willing to part ways with their wantaway star man.
