A Kaizer Chiefs legend, who during his hey day resembled Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi, has reflected on his time at the club.
For those who can remember, Nelson 'Teenage' Dladla use to terrorize opposition defenders with his scrawny stature and nimble feet.
He is one of the pioneers of the famous number 11 jersey, a tradition that has gone on for decades at Naturena.
Dladla recently revisited the Chiefs village as part of a group of Chiefs legends who visited the Sharpeville home of Simon 'Bull' Lehoko.
The former attacker took a trip down memory lane as he reflected on his time with Amakhosi, saying people often compared his prodigious talents to that of Lionel Messi.
"People tell me, 'when I look at you, you used to entertain us, we so loved you. The game you played in your era; you were our [Lionel] Messi'. When I look at videos of me playing 'eish, it's trouble all the way'. People are just falling over at my feet," he told Chiefs' official website.
"I loved to express myself. Nowadays, players are so controlled and are told what to do. But when I played, I knew I was the one who controlled the game. I knew my responsibility if I lost the ball. But I also knew my responsibility was to make the supporters happy, and the only way to do that was to win," he added.
Through the years, a number of players like Emmanuel 'Scara' Ngobese, Abia Nale, Knowledge Musona, Ovidy Karuru and more recently Khama Billiat have all laid claim to the famous Chiefs number 11 jersey in recent times.
