As the Amakhosi look to bolster their attack for the upcoming season and end a nearly decade-long silverware drought, former defender Mokete Tsotetsi sees a potential solution in reconciling with the Serbian striker.
If Sead Ramovic is the final choice for Amakhosi as their next head coach, then Nurkovic could be linked with a return to the Glamour Boys, since they are both from TS Galaxy, and it was the German coach who's helped the Serbian player rediscover his form.

In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Tsotetsi, now a qualified coach, reflected on Nurkovic's impact and the circumstances surrounding his exit.
"To be honest with you I don't even know or understand why he left in the first place. If I remember very well he was the striker who was close to winning the league for us. He could have stayed but as I have said I don't know why he left. But if the two parties, him and the team can sort out their differences I would be happy if he can come back. He is a typical striker. He is a striker they already know and they know what he is capable of doing," Tsotetsi told the Siya crew.
Unlike Ranga (Chivaviro), Nurkovic is a better striker. Once he can get support from the creative midfielders and the wingers then he can do it for the team. He is good aerially as well as on the ground. He is strong. He is good at scoring goals and it could be good if he comes back. But as I have said, it's all up to the two parties if they can agree," Tsotetsi observed.
Tsotetsi also addressed the challenges new signings face at Chiefs, attributing their struggles not to a lack of talent but to the immense pressure associated with the club's stature.
"You can't change from a good player at your previous club last season to becoming a bad player at Chiefs overnight. No. That's not possible. But it is the stature of the club. It's a big club which has huge pressure on players and others fail to handle that. They should know that that's their home. It's where they lay their heads and where your head lays it's your home and you have to work hard for it. That's what lacks in most players at the moment at Chiefs," Tsotetsi concluded.
As Chiefs prepare to conclude their season against the already relegated Cape Town Spurs this weekend, the team faces the critical task of securing a victory to avoid finishing outside the top eight, reminiscent of the 2018/19 season.
The potential return of Nurkovic could provide the goal-scoring prowess Chiefs desperately need. Tsotetsi's insights highlight the importance of addressing both the tactical and psychological aspects of the game as Chiefs strive to reclaim their former glory.
