Chivaviro Unfazed By Chiefs' Coaching Carousel

Chivaviro Unfazed By Chiefs' Coaching Carousel

Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro has candidly addressed his struggle to meet the high expectations set for him following his move from Marumo Gallants at the start of the season.

Despite being a standout performer for Gallants last season, Chivaviro's journey with Chiefs has been marred by an early injury, impacting his form and goal-scoring ability. During Chiefs' media open day, ahead of their final home game of the season against Polokwane City at FNB Stadium, Chivaviro shared his reflections and aspirations.

"I am not happy with what I have achieved at the team so far. I think if I was not injured at the start of the season then I could have done much better. You know I was out with injury when the season started and I didn't have a preseason with the team so I picked up late because I started late. But now I have started scoring and I have four goals. You never know I can end up with six or seven with two games remaining. Even though I didn't start well, I am happy now that I have found my form again," Chivaviro expressed his determination to end the season on a high note.

When questioned about the potential unsettlement within the squad due to the anticipated coaching changes next season, Chivaviro remained unfazed.

"That's part of our job. I am not scared or unsettled with that. We know that such things happen in football and what I should do is to concentrate on my game. Finish this season on a high and look forward to next season with a positive mind whether the coaches change or not that's not for me to worry," he told the media, showcasing his professionalism and focus on his performance.

As the season draws to a close, Chivaviro's late resurgence could prove crucial for Chiefs, especially in their quest to secure a strong finish. His journey from injury to rediscovering his goal-scoring touch serves as a testament to his character and determination, qualities that will undoubtedly serve him and the team well, irrespective of the changes that lie ahead.
