A move to Orlando Pirates could be on the cards for Hendrick 'Pule' Ekstein, according to sources, following his shock departure from Kaizer Chiefs.
As reported in edition 1121 of Soccer Laduma, Pirates are one of the clubs that have been linked with the attacking midfielder, with the likes of SuperSport United and Cape Town City believed to be also in the mix in chasing the player's signature.

The Buccaneers have been linked with the 28-year-old Bekkersdal-born player in recent months, after entering into the final six months of his contract with Chiefs in January.
With the player currently unattached, he will be able to join any club of his choice on a free, after June 30.
According to the Siya sources, Bucs have re-visited their interest in the talented player, and could tie him down on an attractive deal as part of their planning for next season.
"There's been ongoing interest from Pirates in the player and now that he has become available for a move, officially, the club's (Pirates') interest has resurfaced. SuperSport United and Cape Town City are some of the other clubs believed to be keen on the player," explained a Siya source.

Ekstein played 27 matches in all competitions for Chiefs during the 2018/19 season and scored five goals in the process. He looked an improved player under the mentorship of coach Ernst Middendorp.
Ekstein could be the second star from Amakhosi to cross the floor in a matter of one year, following the Buccaneers' signing of goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo last year, after his contract with Chiefs came to an end.
